Meet Desak Noviadewi, FCS’ Sales Manager for Bali, Indonesia. While Desak is relatively new to the hospitality industry, she is strong advocate of technology solutions. She wants to raise awareness on the importance of utilizing technology well in order to make working in hospitality more efficient and productive.
It’s okay to move slow. Life is not a race.
How many years of experience do you have?
Desak: 25 years breathing (just kidding). I’m a newbie in hospitality. Started my career in 2016 as a secretary and then decided to venture into something new in Sales in 2018. Yes, I’m that young. 😉
What is your favorite holiday destination?
Desak: Currently Singapore is the furthest destination I have ever travelled. I like their easy and efficient transportation system, and the 1 dollar ice cream sandwiches!
If you could eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Desak: Nasi Padang!
Name five people you would invite to dinner?
Desak: Daniel Radcliffe, Doraemon, Joko Widodo, and my 2 younger sisters.
What is the best advice you have ever received?
Desak: “If you can do it, then do it. Let God do the rest.“
Which quote defines you?
Desak: “It’s okay to move slow. Life is not a race.”
What is your favorite FCS solution?
Desak: It’s FCS Recovery! If a hotel is concerned about effectively handling every single guest incident and complaint smoothly (both in-house and non-in-house), this solution will surely help them. Not only can you record the “glitch” or issue, but you can also track the cost of the compensation given. It’s also very simple to record and identify lost-and-found items. You can even include a picture of the item and add all the details of it.
What is the one app or piece of tech that you can’t live without?
Desak: My mobile phone.
If you can have one superpower what would it be?
Desak: A magic pocket like Doraemon’s.
What has been your favorite FCS memory/moment?
Desak: My first time doing an online presentation for FCS Solutions.
What do you like most about your job?
Desak: I get the opportunity to learn and work at the same time.
